Pollen Allergy Bulletin Izmir Pilot Study, which was initiated with the joint work of Ege University and the General Directorate of Meteorology, became operational on 10.04.2019. Weekly pollen samples are taken through pollen capture devices installed at Ege University Bornova Campus and 2nd Regional Directorate of Meteorology (Güzelyalı). Weekly pollen samples and weather forecasts received periodically during the day from the General Directorate of Meteorology are evaluated with the help of the decision support system developed by our University, and the estimated daily pollen exposure risk for asthma and allergy patients is calculated.
